Yes, I believe you know "that guy" rather well :) I could use the help of someone like that!!

...To date, I haven't hooked up a toilet, but did do a sink, fridge, lights, and medicine cabinet.

Hi all,

I'm looking for someone with some microcontroller/C++/ethernet expertise that has some spare time available at a reasonable hourly rate.

The project is an arduino home automation controller (open source). It's working, but has some issues that need to be debugged which are outstripping my limited coding abilities.

What I'd be looking for is someone who ideally:
 - Is awesome (that's why I'm sending to hacklab's list)
 - Has experience working with microcontrollers (Arduino in particular would be nice)
 - Experience with connecting Arduino or other microcontroller to the Internet (expertise using webduino or other ethernet libraries)
 - Knows C/C++ - Familiarity with memory issues on microcontrollers like arduino and how to optimize it - Knows how to do message parsing

Also a plus:
 - An interest in home automation, security systems, or sensors

 - Any experience on using basic authentication on arduino, or authorizing clients based on IP address
 - Any experience working on or leading an open source project

If it sounds interesting let me know, I'd love to tell you more about the project.
