[Jobs] System Integration Specialist with Honeywell

Hey Hacklab,

We have a job opening that I believe is a good fit for some in this community, but more on the software/networking-end than the blinky-blumens end.

A hospital is being built in Oakville as part of a public-private partnership, and we are going to be servicing it for 30 years. Honeywell's software is the primary front-end to the various building automation systems throughout the facility.

We monitor and control access control, bed pans, fire systems, infant protection, staff duress buttons, intercoms, cameras, elevators, emergency phones, intrusion detection, nurse call, phoenix exhaust systems (research lab exhausts), chillers, lighting (maybe), and so on through various interfaces and protocols. The purpose of this position is to manage the integration of all of these disparate systems, keep them working, and document best practices for working with them.

You should be comfortable using Wireshark or other packet dissectors, have a good understanding of basic electronics (for RS485 bus diagnostics and etc.), have a good understanding of networking, be comfortable with virtual machine environments (we have a modest ESXi installation), and be driven by a passion to understand how things work (which is why I am posting it here).
