Hi, I'm looking for a contract programmer.
There are a number of livestock reports published with varying frequency (some daily) that we need to scrape, and dump into a relational DB. The project includes figuring out how to model this data in SQL-land, scrape the various reports (CSV mostly) into our DB, and schedule the automation of the scraping, according to the various report schedules.
Competencies:

  *   Experience with data modelling and relational (SQL) database technology
  *   Web scraping / data munging in a modern programming language (preferably Python)
  *   Software development best practices (Source control usage, etc.)
  *   Ability to operate with limited technical supervision
