Hi All,
A client of mine in the events/tradeshow business is looking for an "Interactive Specialist", a perfect
fit for a maker/hacker. Anyone interested can contact myself or Fiona (their HR person) directly: fionam at thinkubik.com
They're already in the ending stages of the interview process, so if you're interested, encourage you to
reach out as soon as possible.
Salary is based on experience, and here's more info about the role...
The right candidate should be able to:
* Work closely with the design team and/or client to develop interactive experiences that are feasible within the available timeframe or budget.
* Identify technical solutions that make the required interactive experience possible, which may include: A/V or lighting,
hardware/circuitry/sensors, software or custom programming, configuring off-the-shelf hardware or software, or integrating multiple systems or APIs.
* Create costing/estimates for the above solutions, including hardware, labour, and any required vendors or services.
* Identifying and working with technical vendors as needed to produce interactive solutions on tight timeframes.
* Document and support the technology that has been deployed at client sites.
* Ensure that all deployed solutions perform flawlessly at client events.
* Ensure that all interactives are safe, legal, and meet inspection requirements.
Some skills/experience that would be useful to have:
* Maker mindset: detailed knowledge of circuitry, sensors, or controllers.
* Experience managing the risks of mission critical custom projects on short notice.
* Ability to accurately estimate costs of technical solutions.
* Ability to manage and deliver complex projects on tight timelines.
* Sourcing and vetting vendors to deliver technical solutions.
* Diverse technical skills such as coding, circuit design, Web Design, Mobile App, microcontroller,
AR/VR, or game engine experience are all useful, but not absolute requirements.
