Good morning,
My name is Karen Lewellen  with common ground media, a division of Curtain 
Up Distribution INC.

Our organization tends to use older hardware, both as an accommodation for 
my  personal disability experiences, and because they still have the kinds 
of line-in Line-out jacks we need.
A few months back some Hacklab members helped another provide some basic 
equipment for us, but there is a problem.
While James got us off to a fine start, hᇃiᇃsᇃ ᇃoᇃwᇃnᇃ work life  meant he could 
not  finish the computer build.
As I write there is a smell of burning from inside the case, with the 
power supply fan not functioning.
The remaining work involves configuring a couple of drivers, and resolving 
a CD rom conflict.
Please note.  While one internal component is a piece of adaptive 
technology, a Dectalk Speech Synthesizer, much of what we need at the 
moment involves basic configuration work.
Lastly while  our organization hopes to find a tech for occasional  work, 
we have older apple hardware too, our most important need is addressing 
the  burning inside  this computer case.
