I modified a pair of the Dell speakers we have around to remove the power
LED, and installed them in the darkroom today. That way you can have music
when you're working in there :)
Also, I worked on sealing up a bunch of light leaks. The doorknob no
longer leaks any light around it, and the seal around the side of the door
has been improved so that very little light comes around it. I added a bit
of foil at the bottom to seal the gap between the weatherstripping and the
ground, which has helped the leak at the bottom. When the DMX lighting
shines directly on the door you can still see a bit of light come in, but
other than that it's quite good now.
I opened up the light fixture too so I could see where the light was
coming from there, it is actually the bulbs continuing to glow for 15+
minutes after you turn them off, as fluorescents do. I'm going to look
into LED replacement bulbs for these.
